Hi,
Today bootstrap fails with the following :
[...]
Loading indent (source)...
Loading window (source)...
Loading frame (source)...
Loading term/tty-colors (source)...
Loading font-core (source)...
Loading facemenu (source)...
Loading mouse (source)...
Loading scroll-bar (source)...
Loading select (source)...
Loading emacs-lisp/timer (source)...
Loading isearch (source)...
((190618 . 5755) (10736 . 4) (583 . 189) 1472977 216729 (62 . 9) (18 . 43)
(21589 . 146))
Loading menu-bar (source)...
Loading paths.el (source)...
Loading startup (source)...
Symbol's value as variable is void: <<<<<<<
make[1]: *** [bootstrap-emacs] Error 255
make: *** [bootstrap-build] Error 2
Little grepping shows some weird comment at line 286 of lisp/startup.el
<<<<<<< startup.el
and also «=======» at line 299
Maybe some unproper patch ?
Regards.

I also found the following at line 302 :
>>>>>>> 1.340
Between line 286 and line 302 are some defconst used by Jérôme Marant
emacs-snapshot patch to produce Debain packages from CVS.
It seems that my cvs checkout failed to correctly update startup.el and I
suppose that it a problem local to my system.
Sorry.

This is a problem on your side. Please resolve the conflict that occured
during the update of the file.

Looks like a CVS conflict marker. Did you make a local change to startup.el?
