Help with colors!

Hi people. I am new on the list.

I remember when i instaled slackware, on root login, the emacs looked like this:
http://morcandel.free.fr/mimine/img/emacs-sample.png

And then, i messed in some things on root directory, and now it looks like this:
http://www.siteidiota.hpg.ig.com.br

This is the same to all users.

How i can change it?

(sorry my poor english....)

This looks like Emacs 20.

And this looks like Emacs 21.

It seems you have installed a new version of Emacs.
