Hello!
I want to build emacs from the latest cvs. And after:
cvs up
and ./configure
and make bootstrap
I got the following error:
makeinfo -I. -I/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref
/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref/elisp.texi -o
/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref/../info/elisp
/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref//locals.texi:202: Cross
reference to nonexistent node `Yet to be written' (perhaps incorrect
sectioning?).
/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref//locals.texi:136: Cross
reference to nonexistent node `Yet to be written' (perhaps incorrect
sectioning?).
makeinfo: Removing output file
`/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref/../info/elisp' due to errors;
use --force to preserve.
make[1]: *** [/home/karol/var/cvs/emacs/emacs/lispref/../info/elisp] Error 1

Any help appreciated,
Karol

This is a known problem. Richard reversed the fix I applied several
days ago to CVS, but you can apply my fix to your own copy of locals.texi:
locals.texi contains:
@item line-spacing
@c Cause an error so we will fix this.
@xref{Yet to be written}.
and:
@item vertical-scroll-bar
@xref{Yet to be written}.
@end table
Replace these two by:
@item line-spacing
@c Cause an error so we will fix this.
@c @xref{Yet to be written}.
and:
@item vertical-scroll-bar
@c @xref{Yet to be written}.
@end table
and bootstrapping will work fine.
Sincerely,
Luc.
