Not introducing too many changes to the workflow at once. So far it seems the major argument against generating ChangeLogs from c= ommit=20 messages was, that the files can be easily edited and fixed. I'm not s= ure how=20 this can be addressed. Git's tools to edit commit messages (history) a= re=20 sadly destructive and not transparent. The support for git-notes(1) se= ems to=20 be rather poor. I guess we have to look at how other projects have sol= ved=20 this. Anyway, there is a gitlog-to-changelog script in Gnulib as well. We mi= ght be=20 able to use that. http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=3Dgnulib.git;a=3Dblob;f=3Dbuild-a= ux/gitlog-to-changelog Regards, R=C3=BCdiger
