His user interface expertise is mostly web only i think ... As for emacs... i think there are few user interface changes emacs could use. Emacs 23, released yesterday, has visual line arrow key movement and highlight text selection, which are great. There are few i think emacs could go after. e.g. have typing or delete key replace selection automatically (delete-selection-mode). This comes naturally when you have text selection on.
