Hello all:

I've been meaning to post this for some time but I always keep forgetting.

Is there any reason that apropos does not find "variable" matches? It lists
"commands" and "functions."
And yes, apropos-do-all's value is t. :-)

Is there a way to enable this?

Thanks.

Are you using ctrl-h-a? That is bound to apropos-command which only
lists interactive commands by default.

M-x apropos is probably what you want.

Which apropos command are you using? `C-h a' is bound to
apropos-command; perhaps you want `M-x apropos-variable' or just plain
`M-x apropos'. And their doc strings explain how each interprets the
apropos-do-all option.

Well that explains it.I have been using C-h a all this time. When I try M-x
apropos, I see the behavior I'd like.

Thanks all!!
