Hi everybody,

I can't directly input characters such as ] | [ { } into emacs from my mac keyboard.

I'm using GNU Emacs 21.3.50.6 on my Mac. I'm running OS X 10.2.4.
I got that thing as a binary distribution and it works just fine. I even managed to make emacs "swallow" the umlauts on my Austrian Keyboard.

But since I want to use emacs to do some serious php coding, I need to be able to input ] | [ { } and such characters natively. When I punch in those keys, nothing happens.

I'm being ignored by a piece of software which is probably older than I am and I won't consider GNU emacs being arrogant...

Has anyone found a workaround yet?

Thanks
#
tim
