This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

In GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I created diff/patch file (using the cvs diff) and reversed the diff afterwards, but when I opened the unapplied diff and did <enter> on the line to be added, it crashed (Segmentation fault)

Please a recipe for reproducing this bug, including if possible the file
that caused the crash.

Also, Emacs 21.4 is rather old; I would suggest trying a more recent
version of Emacs, as there's a good chance this bug has already been
fixed. Could you try that, and report back?

This report is being closed because it refers to what is now an old
release of Emacs and there is no information for us to be able to
reproduce the problem. If you still see the issue with the latest
release, 23.3, please reply and we can reopen the report if needed.
