I'd like to pick up the discussion of the "DTWW" feature which was
dropped back in 2005, because we were too close to the 22.1 release
back then for this to be included.

This feature displays lines wrapped at word boundaries rather than at
the right boundary of the window, while keeping the underlying buffer
unchanged. In some cases, it would be a welcome alternative for
longlines-mode (e.g. for editing text), in other cases it would make
the display of code in narrow windows more pleasant without actually
destroying the underlying formatting.

Kim's patch basically demonstrated the effect back then, but needed
more work.
Is there a chance such a feature could be developed over the next
months?

It would be nice to get such a feature to work.
