Subject: The show hidden files check box in the GTK file chooser
Date: Fri, 6 Jan 2006 10:11:25 +0100 (CET)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <32447457.1136538685905.JavaMail.www@wwinf1523> (raw)

Hi,

There a minor problem with the "Show hidden files" check box in the
GTK file chooser dialog.

When you use the pop up menu shown when you right click on the file
list to toggle the hidden files visibility, the check box is not
updated accordingly. So if you use the check box then to toggle the
visibility again, the "Show hidden files" check box is checked and
hidden files are not shown.

Is there a way to synchronize the check box when toggling visibility
with the pop up menu?

May be a good solution could be to remove the check box and change the
comments to say something like:

"Type C-l to display a file name text entry box,
or right click on the file list for more options."

Sincerely,
David
