Starting with org-mode 4.30 (not yet released, but soon)

    (setq org-insert-labeled-timestamps-at-point t)


However, when you schedule from the global TODO list, org-mode cannot 
know where you would like to have the timestamp, so it will put it into 
the second line anyway.
