Subject: Boolean setting let bound numeric variables

Message-ID: <2_8eEL7rMZOusj-OsSI1Fo12O0fCBBiouuNKO6Hws3FTWrK4Zs_MeIHccHzIVK0-oL25GICAD9559JjNeo4eHzEBljVETFzB-Au1b6mYMOM=@protonmail.com> (raw)
I have the following construct using an "if letboundvar". Does this test
whether letboundvar is t or nil and then set scroll-bar-option to 0 or -1
accordingly ?
(let ( (letboundvar t)
(scroll-bar-option (if letboundvar 0 -1)) )
(horizontal-scroll-bar-mode scroll-bar-option))
