Subject: Any plans to move to webkit2gtk-4.0?
Date: Sat, 28 May 2016 09:37:04 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <22345.19104.268865.109851@a1i15.kph.uni-mainz.de> (raw)

Looks like both Gentoo and Fedora are going to move away from old
WebKitGTK+ versions, mainly for security reasons:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=570034
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel%40lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/S3VHBCPMPVZ3NBKR7FQZQE6HBUHVEZ3D/

Now master as well as the latest release candidate still require
webkitgtk-3.0. IMHO, depending on a version that is on its way out of
distros doesn't make much sense, especially for a feature that is
newly added in Emacs 25.

So, are there any plans to update to webkit2gtk-4.0?
