Would like to install modus-themes-1.0.2 from source.

The debugger is telling me

Debugger entered--Lisp error: (file-missing "Cannot open load file" "No such file or directory" "modus-themes")
  require(modus-themes)

Have done as follows.

(defun enable-modus-themes ()
  "Set and enables modus-themes."

  (add-to-list 'custom-theme-load-path
     (file-name-as-directory
        "/home/mich/modus-themes-1.0.2/"))

  (require 'modus-themes) ; common code
  (require 'modus-operandi-theme) ; light theme
  (require 'modus-vivendi-theme) ; dark theme

  (load-theme 'modus-operandi t)
  (load-theme 'modus-vivendi t) )

That means that Emacs doesn't find an appropriate file (it typically
searches for a file called "modus-themes.elc" then of one "modus-themes.el",
but the real suffixes are given by the value of (get-load-suffixes)..

Most probably you'll have to add the directory where your modus-themes
files are to the variable %load-path.

If there is any confusion: the variable's correct name is `load-path'.

Michael.

Oops, yes, thanks. Doing Guile and Elisp on the same weekday can be
sometimes... funny ;-)

I also wonder if an explicit `require' is needed at all. You might want
to ask the author for a more complete installation recipe.

Regards,

Michael.
