I have used Emacs 25.1 without problems with the Jabber. Now I am using the
git version of emacs 26.0.50.2, and I get sudden connection problems:

connection lost: ‘STARTTLS negotiation failed: Wrong type argument: listp, (:hostname . t)’

I would like to solve this problem.

Jean

Please report this using "M-x report-emacs-bug RET", and please
provide with your report the full recipe for reproducing the problem
and the Lisp backtrace for the error. (You may need to set
debug-on-error to t for getting the backtrace.)

Thanks.

I have solved this, by setting variable:
(jabber-invalid-certificate-servers (quote ("example.com")))

It was not necessary in stable version, it is necessary in the
development version.
