Say that when opening an existing file I want to try first with iso-latin-1 and if this fails try windows-1252. How does one tell Emacs to do that? If I do (set-coding-system-priority 'windows-1252) (set-coding-system-priority 'latin-1) only the latter shows up in the list shown by M-x describe-coding-system. Thanks.
