Subject: cannot open load file: egg
Date: Thu, 27 Mar 2014 10:30:02 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20140327103002.32b68bb1@voltron.arsc.edu> (raw)

Hey all, I run Emacs 24.3.1. Some time ago I installed "egg" through
el-get (maybe under a different Emacs version... can't remember). Later,
I uninstalled it with el-get-remove. Now, I get this mysterious error
every other time I open a file:

cannot open load file: egg

If I go to open the file again, it will work always work the second time. But having to use find-file twice every time is a bit tiring. Is there a certain autoload file I need to edit, or command I need to run, to fix this?

$ locate autoload
/home/me/.emacs.d/el-get/ess/ess-autoloads.el
