Here's a not-a-metric: % git merge --help | wc -l 630 % bzr merge --help | wc -l 116 % hg merge --help | wc -l 35 Is it possible to be *too* helpful? :) I highly recommend O'Reilly's book on git by Loeliger and McCullough (2nd edition). It has the clearest explanation of git's model that I've seen, w= ith nice pictures for emphasis. As a bzr > hg > git > svn > cvs > rcs fan, I wouldn't say the book has made me love git, but it has certainly helped me make peace with it, to paraphrase a different post in this thread. -Barry --Sig_/UUcAbtgJ7wXYWj+HN/5qXMR Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.15 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJSzwZ+AAoJEBJutWOnSwa/aP0P/RXnur8bpLbiDqeq0K+x4RlP KIcYWZX21PuNwpn7Xq7jpbMADzYGdBi6mKGi0g3/zO86yORjLWHB8DWsqQsARn+O lfmyWE1cyixZh188SGR327BezxTNXzYoxgVgys6eCKs5v9i08120km3DBe6RpmjD Jtpg5njfyjxfwgBHqTnGMWIS/9XhDMLgM7BlpOz9oNaXzVfIeIG7tjBPasdsprvu owBeJRNgRWliUF7zlWmC3JJweDqHQlUmgaSRrgAweLN3ulfnzAM0lcBKNuQZzo10 raLP52OdfRnTIIecvMI0Ar9B6iEQmFpwQZrXE5d2QJogp3sIQDGfENyWVStasg+U iDfW4AGuP8Lh8OnYQqfbmAJZR5jV7WkBilnx1/CHhrG/HEWXG9+1eLCFpNCAOK7/ ghsopvkFTKz/7OYHInT+kdVsiOVfGzTBbqIm76TA43SdI4foMzV4kdFoEEy7xozT Ie9elaHQN9y35UXkEef7kC4DQNLjoeKDyjZcHyJQw9z7kRgWqpvtATgXDLfrjpbs e4c+JLHKTK5sopqH7qDMUnVB9KSg6LoLx0AEsnsfWAzoQEwoccD/dwbyjndpDJSH pJsokZIrYh63BNNL55mXUMU8HJU2YeGTKgm3PTlUV/5e5RLcUEsVFMKifitO2b4g 2rBrTaeD/yWVQYMDdjLU =lVsF -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/UUcAbtgJ7wXYWj+HN/5qXMR--
