Hello,
In longlines-mode, the default value of longlines-show-effect uses the
paragraph symbol (¶) to denote a hard newline. I wonder if the newline
symbol (↵) would be a more appropriate default. A hard newline in a
longlines buffer only sometimes represents a paragraph break, and the
paragraph symbol is a more complex glyph that makes the buffer look
cluttered and hard to read when there are a lot of hard newlines.
