I think the official Debian backport is backports.org , which does not offer
emacs22 yet. However I think it is in the way,

I have installed emacs22 from http://hype.sourceforge.jp/ due to
http://emacs.orebokech.com/ is offering yet 20070501 for etch, not 20070529.
Personally, be able to install a debian package blessed by the FSF would be
great!
