Building Emacs out of CVS on an freshly installed ubuntu machine:
Emacs builds cleanly --
./configure --prefix=/usr/local
make bootstrap
make
make install
works as expected.
However after built, the emacs refused to run with the error
termcap not found ---
am a bit confused as to what it's looking for -- especially since this system has terminfo
