Well, that's certainly true -- at least at the moment... Also, it might be worthwhile to help distinguishing the modes at least by having different indicator in the modeline -- currently both use "Python" so it is even nontrivial for users to determine which one are they actually running... Does Emacs have any guidelines as to how modeline indicator should look like? Is there something we could use instead of "Python"? "Python-Mode"? "PYTHON"? "python"?
