Subject: utf-16-le-pre-write-conversion not defined
Date: Thu, 2 Jun 2005 16:17:16 +0200 (CEST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20050602141716.520B516A13@helvetika.informatik.uni-wuerzburg.de> (raw)
In GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2005-05-12 on ypsilon

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
**** **** ****
1. Load a file in utf-16 (common file format in Windows):
C-x RET c utf-16-le-dos RET
C-x C-f filename RET
2. Do some edits
3. Save with C-x C-s
This throws an error about utf-16-le-pre-write-conversion not defined
as function. The file is not saved.
I'm not sure what this function is supposed to do; when I define it
as a noop function, it works for me:
(defun utf-16-le-pre-write-conversion (a b))
