I should have thought of that. However, this is the C way of thinking
about things and I am not used to see Lisp documentation strings
written in C style terminology. That is what confused me.
I agree that "beginning of" should be removed from doc strings.
If will wait a little while, to make sure that there are no objections.
If there are none, I will commit my changes to the doc strings.
