Any reason why Emacs no longer provides fontset-24 by default?

??? Emacs itself doesn't provide that. intlfonts/Emacs.ap
provides it when it's installed in .../lib/X11/app-defaults
by the name "Emacs".

Hmm, I always do a `./configure; make bootstrap; make install', and
until recently I could access `fontset-24' within my .emacs without
ever using `Emacs.ap'. Something *must* have changed...

With the latest CVS code, I still can access many fontsets
defined in X resources.
Please show me the result of:
% xrdb -query|grep -i fontset

I haven't defined X resources for Emacs.

Empty.

Maybe it was non-empty before? Also, app-defaults can be found in various
places, for example in the directories denoted by $XAPPLRESDIR or
$XUSERFILESEARCHPATH.
Andreas.

Thanks, this gives a hint -- I've just uninstalled Emacs which comes
with SuSE. I always forget that there is basically no local
directory for X application resources.
Sorry for the noise.
