Regardless of the choice, there will be problems somewhere. Of course, it could be just me... It is premature to reach this conclusion fter trying only TWO formats. Let's make at least one effort to try to solve all the problems that are known. I propose /user@host: and /user@method@host: as prefixes. The former looks like the current remote file names, which is intentional. The latter is a variant which does not introduce any additional special characters
