In GNU Emacs 21.2.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2002-05-04 on jailhouse
Important settings:

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
(merging a bug report from Geert Ribbers off the emacs-windows list
and a further comment)
Geert wrote:
Whenever ps-print is loaded the apropos-command fails when used with
pre-fix command.
(require 'ps-print)
Then type C-u C-h a copy <RET>
And the result is an error:
apropos-command: Symbol's function definition is void:
ps-x-copy-coding-system
The same for apropos-string face:
C-u C-h a face <RET>
apropos-command: Symbol's function definition is void: ps-x-extent-face
I checked and it doesn't happen with emacs 20.3.7.
I does happen with both emacs 21.1.1 and 21.2.1.
Has anyone experienced the same, or maybe even solved it?
My comments:
I can see in on my Linux Emacs installation, looks to be the defaliases in
ps-print that are there for XEmacs. Maybe there ought to be some sort of
guard around them
Also if after the error you change workspace (this is windowmaker) to
another emacs frame the C-u prefix is still active - so that if I type 'n'
there I get 4 n's (!) even after one might think the beep had cleared any
pending C-u!
