Subject: mouse-wheel-mode should have default value t
Date: Sun, 25 Jan 2004 21:05:05 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1xpng87y.fsf@blue.sea.net> (raw)

In my opinion the default value to support mouse wheel should be t, and
not nil. Otherwise this makes new users wonder, why Emacs does not
support wheel (like browsers do).

>From news file:

** Emacs can now support 'wheeled' mice (such as the MS IntelliMouse)
under XFree86. To enable this, use the `mouse-wheel-mode' command, or
customize the variable `mouse-wheel-mode'.
