   I cannot reproduce this.  Typing M-q on the indicated line joins the
   lines, as it should.  This is with latest CVS, GNU Emacs 22.0.96.29
   (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.10.6).

   Maybe if you provided more details, such as the information provided
   in M-x report-emacs-bug, someone could help you.
