hello,

can anyone recommend a particular mode or set of modes for editing
html-type files? i use jdee for servlets and it works great, but i was
looking for a good integrated solution for other types types of webdev
docs (php, jsp, and html in particular).

i used html-helper-mode for some time and it never really worked well
for me.

i recently switched over to using mmm-mode with
html-mode/php-mode/css-mode/etc. this works fairly well, but still has
some issues, especially with indentation of html. also bothersome is
indentation of php whenever the file contains php comments (// or
/**/).

id like to find the most flexible solution (i dont mind customizing the
.el files a bit) - was just wondering what other people have found to
work.

thanks, emory

well, it was some time ago, and i dont remember exactly why i disliked
it.

i was using it primarily for jsp at the time and it seems like the
indenting was poor in jsp and it didnt always recognize the embedded
html in jsp files. also, i never really figured out how to customize
the html tags (i try to avoid the m-x customize whenever possible).

perhaps i did not give it a fair chance. if you think that it works
better than the mmm/html/php/... solution, i will certainly give it
another try.

thanks, emory
