I'm not sure that I'm correct, but as far as I remember, if you have the source of emacs 21.1.1 it is possible to use ./configure with the option: --without-toolkit-scroll-bars and you'll get the old-fashioned scroll bar. Another suggestion is to disable it at all. Set scroll-bar-mode to nil and use command scrolling. You'll soon forget about the scroll bar and how it looks like. Regards, luis -- Luis Octavio Silva P.
