I think  that should probably  have been 2002-03-15 (the  release date
for Emacs 21.2?).

Hello all,

First, let me thank you for your work on Emacs.  It's great.  However,
I think  the NEWS  file should have  the date 2002-03-15  (the release
date of Emacs 21.2).
