Subject: org mode obsolete?
Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2017 17:08:49 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <140f0f40-0d2f-48c5-9c24-2a37a0c150b1@googlegroups.com> (raw)
Today I installed a later version of Org via the package installer. Afterwards, in a *Help* buffer I saw the following:
org is an available obsolete package.
Status: Available Obsolete from gnu -- Install
Archive: gnu
Version: 20170814
Summary: Outline-based notes management and organizer
Other versions: 20170814 (installed), builtin.
[back]
what is meant by "obsolete package" in this case?
My Emacs is:
GNU Emacs 25.1.1 (x86_64-apple-darwin13.4.0, NS appkit-1265.21 Version 10.9.5 (Build 13F1911)) of 2016-09-20
