Subject: Database of file groups/categories (by mime-types/extension.)
Date: 25 Apr 2007 04:39:18 -0700 [thread overview]

Hey again!
In some operations like searching, replacing or grepping a patterns
recursively over a set of files limited by their type (mime-type and/
or file extension) it should be convenient to have a set of of file
categories to choose from such as:
- All files
- All files except backups (ending with tilde).
- All C header and source files (.[hc])
- All C header and source files (.[hc]pp)
etc
Does such a database/functionality already exist?
