interactive function at GNU Emacs startup

interactive function at GNU Emacs startup

Greetings,

I would like to have a certain interactive function that I use quite
often start up every time I run GNU Emacs. What is the best way of
going about this?

In my .emacs I tried the following functions, to no avail:

(load "~/foo-function.el")
(execute-extended-command "foo-function")

Any ideas?

Or maybe:

(call-interactively 'foo-function)

If the function is interactive AND requires an argument, you cannot
just call it in that way. You will get a wrong-number-of-arguments
error.

I remembered trying the call-interactively function before and it did
not work for me.

Just tried it again. That's right, when Emacs starts up I get the M-x
prompt instead of the interactive foo-fuction running and waiting for
my input.

Any ideas?

Paste what you tried here, both the source for foo-fuction and the
call to it.

I'm sorry. I stand corrected. I was still trying to call it my old way.
