When `cursor-type' is set to `box', Emacs displays the character behind
the cursor in inverse video, but when I set it to `bar' it doesn't. I'd
prefer to see the part of the character that's behind the cursor in
inverse video. This is the standard behavior in some editors. Is there a
way to achieve that?
