Subject line says it all. And it's a WARNING, no less (should never
have been a warning).
*Warning:* if you redefine a function after using `debug-on-entry'
on it, the code to enter the debugger is discarded by the
redefinition. In effect, redefining the function cancels the
break-on-entry feature for that function.
This feature was intentionally removed in Emacs 24. Invoking the
function still opens the debugger, even after you redefine the
function, until you use `cancel-debug-on-entry' for it.
In GNU Emacs 24.4.50.1 (i686-pc-mingw32)
of 2014-06-28 on ODIEONE

I guess this text too needs updating (?), in node `Debugger Commands':
`l'
Display a list of functions that will invoke the debugger when
called. This is a list of functions that are set to break on
entry by means of `debug-on-entry'. *Warning:* if you redefine
such a function and thus cancel the effect of `debug-on-entry', it
may erroneously show up in this list.
And again, the last sentence (which might need updating) should not be
shown as a WARNING. There is no danger to warn of. It is simply a note.

Uh, no, this should NOT have been merged with 13061.
This report does not ask to revert the change in behavior or to at least make the behavior user-configurable. This report just points out that the behavior is not what the doc says it is.
This is a doc bug report. #13061 is a product behavior report. They should not be merged.

Thanks, I removed the now incorrect text.
