FWIW, I've been getting crashes lately, but usually with no
emacs_backtrace.txt produced - just the MS Windows dialog about the
program having to be closed etc. This time we were lucky...

No, I had only one Emacs 24 session open (and one Emacs 20 session,
which does not know about emacs_backtrace.txt).
