yasnippets are not loaded

I have GNU Emacs 23.1.1 on Windows. I installed yasnippet lib and it works. But when I create custom snippets they are not loaded. For example in c-mode subdir I made a snippet

# -*- mode: snippet -*-
# name: switch
# key: switch
# --
switch (${1:x})
{
        case $2:
             $3
             break;
}


When I open it and try to test it - it works. When I load it into the snippets table for c-mode it starts working in c-mode. But when I just open emacs and start c-mode it's not loaded.

So for some reson yasnippet doesn't load it from the dir.

I found the reason. I left the default copy of snippets in the plugin directory. And they were loaded from this location. I deleted this dir, and all worked.
