I noticed it but thought that this installer propably was of little use now when there are powerful free installers like Inno available. I also thought that it might be a bit dated. I should of course have answered anyway. Do you have a description of this installer somewhere that I can read? Maybe there are some good ideas that I can still use? - Lennart ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eli Zaretskii" To: Cc: ; Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 6:06 AM Subject: Re: Emacs Installer for MS Windows > > From: Richard Stallman > > Date: Tue, 24 Aug 2004 17:02:41 -0400 > > Cc: emacs-devel@gnu.org > > > > The installer needs to be free software, on ethical groups. > > Also, it needs to have a GPL-compatible license in order to > > combine it with Emacs. > > Yes, and that is why I suggested to start with the installer developed > as part of the "GNU Software for MS-Windows and MS-DOS" CD-ROM. > AFAIR, no one responded to that suggestion. >
