Unfortunately, reading zsh documentation is
like a full-time job, with the exception you
actually have to *do* it!

But Emacs + zsh isn't such an uncommon
combination, so perhaps someone reading this
still knows...

   My solution, put env vars in .zshenv, and use exec-path-from-shell
   package to import into emacs.
