Hi,

I have a latex template I constantly use for all documents and have to
insert into all new files. It just contains the basic preamble stuff. Is
it possible to have this template I have which is just lines of latex
source automatically inserted into new files which emacs recognises as
"latex-mode"?

Thanks very much,
Dan

I use a package called template. Unfortunately I can't remember if it
came with Emacs 23.1 or was installed separately. In any case have a
look at:

Cheers,
Roger

Take a look at autoinsert.el.

This and other similar facilities are documented in the "autotype"
manual which comes with Emacs.

Thanks for all the ideas, a friend ended up giving me some elisp code
for my .emacs which works extremely well.

Thanks!
Dan
