I just came across an interesting problem with auctex and emacs 21 on
a Debian box. Everything appears to be working fine - all font locking
is good until I add a comment. Once I ad a comment to my *.tex file,
all the subsequent lines of the file are font-locked with
font-lock-comment-face. Removing the comment and everything goes back
to correct font-lock faces.

This is on a Debian system running the testing distribution. Has
anyone else noticed this?

 David> What version of AUCTeX?

Oops, should have mentioned that.

Its version 11.11-3 (the 3 is the debian package version) and emacs 21.2

I also found I get the same thing on my home debian system running the
unstable distribution which uses Emacs 21.3 and the same auctex
version.
