Well I tried that inside emacs (with utf-8 as default):
class testuni {
public static void main(String args[]){
System.out.println("Eén überhaupt € å…æÆ\n");
}
}
TEMP> javac testuni.java
TEMP> java testuni
Eén überhaupt € å…æÆ
