I think that others have already mentioned that they use emacs on
macs, and that it works fine, including the functionality that you ask
for. 

You did complain that emacs does not fulfil the standard HIG
interface requirements. It doesn't because its not supposed to,
although, of course, it would be very nice to make it behave this way
as an option.

The problem has been the manner of your questioning, which has been
fairly aggressive. People would probably have been more helpful if
instead of saying "Emacs is crippleware, what a lot of crap", you had
instead asked "I can not get emacs to work, can you help me?"
