I use w2k with cygwin.
(call-process "scp" nil nil nil gnus-startup-file
              (concat gnus-startup-file ".eld") "podval:~/")
works fine (returns 0 and copies the files),
"podval" is mentioned in ~/.ssh/config

I cannot figure out how to do the same with Emacs `copy-file'.
I tried
(tramp-set-completion-function "scp" '((tramp-parse-sconfig "~/.ssh/config")))
(setq tramp-default-method "scp")
but
(copy-file gnus-startup-file "/podval:~/")
just hangs.
any help?
thanks.
