Hello,

we upgraded Emacs in Fedora 11 and 12 to 23.1, but users start complaining,
that the font is too large.

this is a screenshot from cleanly installed Fedora 12 Alpha, showing
the default font:

do you know, what can be done to obtain the same
font size as before? This is a screenshot from Fedora 10:

thank you for your ideas,

  Daniel Novotny, Red Hat inc.

I had the same issue and went back to 22.1.1 Might try putting this,

;; Set the font
(set-default-font "-adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--14-100-100-100-m-90-
iso8859-1")

in the startup file.
