This probably has a simple answer, but I can't seem to find it...
Using Ediff causes the differences between two buffers to be highlighted,
which is good. Once I have finished with Ediff, how do I restore the
normal font-lock on the buffer(s)?

I always quit the ediff session normally with `q' and I can't remember
any problems wrt font-lock, so I presume it Just Works...
