Customize Open Parenthesis

Hi Group,

I want to change the default open parenthesis position in emacs. Currently, my emacs puts parenthesis,

if(....)
  {
  }

I want to change the behaviour to,

if(....)
{
}

How can I do this.

As a matter of interest, this function is now bound to C-c . ("Control-C
dot").
