What about "man tcsh"? Ok, I'll admit that separating stderr from stdout is _not_ one of tcsh's strong points either. That nonwithstanding, I, like this subthread's OP, use tcsh as my interactive shell and bash for scripting, mostly because I haven't yet found a good replacement for ESC-p (previous command starting with the substring already typed). Bash's C-r does nearly the same, only I find it much more painful too use.
